How do you spend one day in this position?

Reporting directly to Presales Manager, the Pre-Sales Engineer will be responsible for drawing up customer requirements and help them to select the correct V-Count product and service.

They also assist with technical questions or concerns during the sales process and frequently participate in the initial portion of the project specification process. Working closely with the sales team on proposals and pitches for business. Attending meetings with sales managers and acting as a technical expert.

This position requires a good deal of experience and skills in both sales and technical domains. Providing ongoing support for customers post-implementation.

  • This position is expected to reach customer personnel at all working levels, from technicians to senior management staff members; therefore, strong presentation skills are a must. Pre-sales engineers must be able to adjust presentation materials as needed to provide the type and depth of information required for each recipient
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions to meet both customer and V-Count needs.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
  • Confidence and ability to effectively create and deliver presentations to all audiences including executive levels
  • Ability to coordinate internal and external resources and nurture cross-functional relationships
  • Proven ability to implement strategic initiatives with efficiency, professionalism and with demonstrated troubleshooting/problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial indicators to measure business performance and an ability to summarize business and financial data in a useful manner for planning and decision making

Are you matching yourself with the below requirements? 

  • Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience in engineering, information systems, or business administration
  • Minimum of 3 years of industry experience, including two or more years in a sales engineering or consulting
  • Previous experience in technology solutions
  • Fluent English is a must and German is a plus
  • Ability to build a network of useful relationships and effective alliances with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong presentation skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to clearly articulate ideas at all levels of the organization is a must
  • Ability to analyze business opportunities and read situations well
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to present and negotiate contractual and commercial terms and conditions
  • Experience closing large enterprise-level deals
